Staff Report

Landowners with 25 or more acres qualify for an on-site visit from a private lands wildlife biologist, to assess wildlife habitat and help develope a management plan.

There is no obligation for participation in HIP (Habitat Improvement Program). Participants don’t have to open their farms to public hunting.

Habitat projects include: fescue eradication, old field management, wildlife openings, cover thickets, wildlife water holes, and field border plantings.

Telephone your local private lands biologist to set up an appointment for an on-site visit.
